How this works
- Pick the crop on each farm. Only corn can be enrolled in 45Z. Please set the crop on every farm, including beans and wheat, so the coop has a full record.
- For yield, an average for this year’s crop is fine, actual or expected. Exact yields for each field aren’t needed.
- Only one person per farm needs to enroll it, and it should be the producer who farms it. Enrolling a corn farm covers every landlord and account on it.
- Confirm your email and who INCITE.AG should contact, then finish. Pre-enrollment is free and not a contract.

Disclaimers · please read
- Pre-enrollment is free and informational. It is not an offer, a contract, or a guarantee of payment.
- The program has four conditions to meet. All four must be met before any payment is made, for everyone: Alto qualifies for the 45Z credit; Alto actually receives the credit money; the program average is below 4,908 g CO₂e/bu (CI 21.68) across all corn enrolled in the program, not your field alone; and Tremont receives the funds before paying them out.
- Timing. Payment would be made as patronage after Alto receives the credit money for that crop year. Alto pays Tremont within 60 days of actually receiving or using the credit, and Tremont pays it out. When that happens depends on how and when Alto realizes the credit, so there is no fixed date. Do not budget it against the crop year that earned it.
- These payment thresholds can change slightly based on final plant-side calculations. You are paid on your own farm’s CI reduction: your points (the whole CI points your score is below the 6,028 g CO₂e/bu (CI 26.6) default; partial points do not count), times your bushels in the program. Every enrolled farm is paid for every whole point below the default, with no requirement to change practices. The rate per point is set each crop year from the 45Z money Tremont receives, minus enrollment, verification and other program costs. Any 2¢-per-point figures are illustrations.
- Your actual score will differ from any estimate. It depends on your fields, your records, and verification.
- What you agree to. The 45Z attributes of enrolled corn belong to this program only; the same bushels cannot be entered in another 45Z or carbon program. Information you give must be accurate; payments tied to a credit later reduced because of inaccurate information can be recovered.
- Not tax, legal, or financial advice. Questions: Mike Hainline or Joe Logsdon, (309) 925-4981. Full details on the 45Z program page, Privacy Policy and Terms.
